Training Administrator FAI /EAI

The administrator Fire alarminstallation and Evacuation alarm installation is responsible for the operation, supervision and maintenance of these installations. The administrator is also the primary liaison for the fire department. This is important in case of doubt about the reality of the alarm. In this training the focus is on supervision, periodical checks and maintenance.

What is learnt?

After this training the student can:

  • Describe the purpose of the FAI and the EAI;
  • When is a FAI or EAI required
  • Name the demands to be met by these installations;
  • Name the main characteristics of building the installations;
  • Describe how, and with what frequency the administrator can ensure the care for the maintenance and checks of parts of these installations;
  • Describe how the communication with teh maintenance expert should take place.

The program:

  • Theory and backgrounds;
  • Practice skills, like tests and repairs;
  • Refresh theory;
  • Discuss assignments;
  • Execute assignments;
  • Practice exam;
  • Written exam.

Information

Who is it for?

No specific education or knowledge is required. It is desirable that the participant has affinity with the subject.

The training is given incompany. Max group size is 12 participants. The students recieve a diploma from the NIBHV after passing both theoretical and pratical exams.

This course is available in Dutch, exam in English is available upon request. 

Duration of the training:

The training Administrator FAI/EAI takes three half-days. Hours are from 9:00 till 17:00 uur and from 09.00 till 13.00. In the period between the training days (about two weeks) the student needs to prepare a  few assignments. These will be discussed on the second training day. The training is concluded by a written exam by the NIBHV.
