Evacuation Exercise

Should an evacuation of your building ever be necessary, all employees must know very well what to do so that everyone can leave the premises safely and on time. We organise evacuation exercises, which will put your evacuationplan to a practical test, and in the process will heighten the conscienceness and familiarity of this plan with your employees. The exercise also evaluates existing procedures.

What is learnt?

Exercises in different settings

We advise to raise the difficulty and adjust this to the experience and knowledge of your ERO’s. Possible evacuation exercises could be:

  • Table top exercise (focussing on procedures);
  • Education about procedures and scenariotraining voor ERO’s;
  • Announced exercise with date and time;
  • Announced exercise within a certain period;
  • Unannounced exercise with a simple scenario;
  • Unannounced exercise with complex scenario;
  • Exercise with the Emergency Services.

The program:

Evacuation exercise: 3 phase:

Phase 1: Preliminary discussion

After the preliminary discussion, the Projectmanager devises a script for the exercise, including a program for the teacher/supervisor. The script contains all information about the exercise, supervision and scenario. A copy will be sent to you, prior to the exercise itself.

Phase 2: Execution

Practical execution of the exercise by the teacher/supervisor. Afterwards there will be an extensive evaluation wit hall those involved.

Phase 3: Reporting

Within 3 weeks after the exercise, you will recieve a full report, including conclusions and recommendations.

During a personal meeting we will determine the correct approach for such an exercise within your organisation.
