Life-saving First Aid (LEH) for BOAs

When you work as a law enforcement officer (BOA), you sometimes encounter intense situations. You may suddenly be called upon to provide assistance in an emergency. How do you ensure that you know what to do when it matters? What resources do you have at your disposal, how do you use them, and how do you deal with issues such as bystanders and other emergency services?

In our Life-Saving First Aid for BOAs training course, you will learn how to make a difference in the first few minutes. The training courses cover the following topics, among others:

  • Basic rules for administering first aid
    Moving a victim (Rautek grip)
    Clearing the airway
    Chin lift, jaw thrust, recovery position
    CPR, including use of an AED
    (Active) bleeding
    Applying wound/pressure dressings, trauma bandages, and tourniquets
    Hypothermia, hyperthermia
    Other injuries
    Transferring the victim to emergency services

The program:

How long does the training take?

During one day of training, you will learn how to respond to threatening situations that you may encounter in your work. A LOTUS victim will be present during the afternoon session.

Who is it for?

Employees who work in public spaces as enforcement officers or supervisors, such as special investigating officers (BOAs) and teams. We provide in-company training. The maximum group size is 12 people.

Duration of the training:

This training course is conducted in one day from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Class times can also be arranged differently in consultation.

After completion, participants will receive a certificate of participation from Wilgh Opleidingen.
