Prevention officer

The training Prevention Officer is aimed at the relevant legislation belonging to the  risc-inventarisation and evaluation (RI&E). The accompanying planning and the Arbo tasks are also part of the training. Every organisation is obligated to appoint at least 1 prevention officer, which is tasked with making the RI&E. This also indicates how many ERO’s are needed in the organisation.

What is learnt?

In this training the following is adressed:

  • Arbo-legislative frame(Arbolaw, Arbocatalogue, etc)
  • Arbocare structure (RI&E, Arbocatalogue)
  • Rolls, tasks and authorisations Prevention officer
  • What risks is your organisation facing?
  • Preventive measures to be taken
  • Implement measures

The program:

This one-day course will prepare you to become a prevention officer. The course focuses on knowledge of what is important in the field of safety, health and well-being. How do you signal problems? How do you report this? Can you communicate well with board/management and your colleagues? How do you ensure that you stay informed of what is going on among employees and emergency response officers? Thanks to the prevention officer course, you can answer these and other questions for yourself.

Who is it for?

This training is very well suited for the employee responsible for or will be responsible for Arbo and prevention tasks in your organisation. No specific education or knowledge is required.

The training is given incompany. Max group size is 12 participants.

The students receive a certificate of attendance. This training can also be done under supervision of the NIBHV. At the end of the day a theoretical exam(multiple choice question) will be taken.

This course is available in Dutch, exam in English is available upon request. 

Duration of the training:

The training Prevention officer takes one day. The hours are from 9:00 to 17:00,  or to be determined. 

Because the laws and regulations change over the years and you want to keep up to date with the right knowledge and skills, it is desirable to repeat the basic course after a number of years to refresh the knowledge. This is a one day course.
