Why the Managing Inappropriate Behaviour training?
As a manager, you have an important role in creating a working environment where people feel safe, respected and heard. This practical training teaches you how to recognise, prevent and deal with undesirable behaviour. You get tools to handle difficult conversations and discover how to stimulate an open, safe team culture.

  • You will know what undesirable behaviour is, how to recognise it and what your responsibility is as a manager
  • You will be able to discuss difficult situations and promote an open reporting culture
  • You know the internal procedures, the role of the confidential advisor and when external help is needed
  • You are able to consciously and proactively build a positive and safe team climate

During the training (± 4 hours) we cover the following components:

Kick-off: Why this topic matters - impact of undesirable behaviour and your role as manager.
Recognising & Signalling: From subtle signals to clear boundaries - and everything in between.
Culture & Prevention: What can you do to create and maintain a safe, respectful atmosphere?
Addressing & Conversations:

What do you do when someone reports something?

How do you speak to someone about behaviour?

How do you have a difficult conversation without damaging the relationship?

Procedures & Support: what are the steps? What do HR and the confidential advisor do? And how do you ensure good aftercare?

This session is aimed at executives, team leaders, coordinators, managers and board members - in short, anyone who plays a role in managing teams and monitoring a healthy work culture.
